PPT Article

Not every study is best served by a traditional article format. In many disciplines, especially those rooted in teaching, clinical demonstration, field studies, or applied research, presentation-style formats can convey core findings more effectively. PowerPoint-based articles, or what we call PPT Articles, offer researchers a way to communicate their work through a structured visual format that simplifies complex material and makes it easier to follow. These articles are peer-reviewed, archived, and published with the same care and editorial standards as all content at VJ Research Hub.

The PPT Article format is particularly suited to work that is descriptive, process-oriented, or best explained through a step-by-step layout. It works well for presenting case studies, treatment protocols, workflow methods, educational models, conceptual frameworks, timelines of intervention, or summary-based literature reviews. In cases where visual clarity is essential, a slide-based structure can offer a concise and powerful way to present information.

We do not view PPT Articles as less rigorous or informal. Each submission is reviewed by subject experts and evaluated for clarity, accuracy, originality, and academic contribution. The decision to offer a slide-format option is based on our belief that publishing should serve the content, not force the content into one structure. When used appropriately, a well-designed slide presentation can present data, explain methods, and guide the reader just as thoroughly as a written manuscript.

Authors submitting a PPT Article must follow a clear set of guidelines. The slide presentation should include a cover slide with the article title, author names and affiliations, and a brief abstract. This is followed by a sequence of slides that build the argument, present the data or content, and end with a concluding slide that offers insight or a summary of findings. We recommend including references on the final slide, even if only key sources are cited. Each slide should be visually clean, easy to read, and contain meaningful content. Use of images, charts, and diagrams is encouraged, provided they are properly labeled and relevant to the article’s focus.

The ideal number of slides for a PPT Article is between 10 and 20, depending on the subject. Overly long or disorganized presentations will be returned for revision. Each slide should focus on a single idea or section, using a mix of bullet points, images, or concise blocks of text. We advise against overly dense layouts or decorative design choices that distract from the content. The focus must remain on clarity and educational value.

PPT Articles must be the original work of the submitting authors. We do not accept material that has been previously published or submitted elsewhere. If images or figures from other sources are included, appropriate permissions must be obtained, and credit must be given. In the case of clinical material, patient privacy must be protected, and all ethical protocols must be followed. Slides that include identifiable information must either be anonymized or accompanied by written consent. We require all authors to disclose funding, affiliations, and conflicts of interest at the time of submission.

Submission of a PPT Article includes both the PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx) file and a brief explanatory document. This document should include an abstract, a short background or introduction to the topic, and any additional notes that would help reviewers understand the material. Authors should also provide full contact details, institutional affiliations, and a cover letter outlining the relevance of their submission. Once accepted, the final presentation is converted to an interactive online format and published with a DOI, citation information, and full indexing.

Peer review for PPT Articles follows the same ethical standards as our other formats. Editors assign the submission to reviewers with experience in the subject area, and reviewers are asked to assess the material based on originality, clarity, educational value, and alignment with the aims of the journal. Reviewers may suggest changes to slide content, request clarification of terms or figures, or recommend restructuring of the sequence for better logical flow. Authors are expected to respond to reviewer feedback and revise the presentation accordingly.

PPT Articles are not fast-track publications. Although the format is different, we take the review process seriously and expect submissions to be well-prepared. We do not publish incomplete, rushed, or promotional content. The purpose of this format is to provide researchers with a legitimate and useful way to share their findings when slide-based storytelling offers an advantage over linear writing. Every submission is evaluated as a scholarly contribution.

Accepted PPT Articles are hosted on the VJ Research Hub platform and made freely available under our open access model. Readers can view the presentation directly through an embedded viewer, without needing to download any files. The article’s metadata, including title, abstract, keywords, author information, and references, is indexed just like a text-based article. This ensures discoverability and proper attribution. Each PPT Article is assigned a permanent DOI and is archived for long-term access.

Authors who wish to supplement a traditional article with a PPT version may do so. In such cases, the slide presentation will be linked to the main article page, offering readers a second way to engage with the material. This is especially useful in academic settings, where the same content may be used for teaching, workshop delivery, or conference presentation. We encourage authors to think about how their research might benefit from visual summarization, and to use this format when appropriate.

The slide-based format is also valuable for early-career researchers, practitioners, or professionals who wish to share practice-based knowledge that may not require a lengthy research paper. By offering an accessible and peer-reviewed platform, we open doors to content that is often excluded from traditional publishing due to format constraints. This includes illustrated clinical techniques, decision-tree models, process diagrams, and conceptual toolkits developed in the field. As long as the submission is original, well-structured, and relevant to the journal’s aims, we welcome it.

At VJ Research Hub, we view scholarly communication as a wide space with room for multiple formats. PPT Articles reflect our belief that research can be visual, concise, and structured differently without compromising on quality. This approach supports wider accessibility, quicker engagement, and easier application in academic and professional settings. We encourage responsible innovation in how knowledge is shared and hope that this format helps more authors publish meaningful work.

Authors interested in submitting a PPT Article should review the journal-specific instructions and contact the editorial team if they have questions. We are happy to guide authors through the process and offer formatting advice when needed. All submissions must meet the journal’s scope and standards and are subject to editorial screening prior to peer review.

Publishing in slide format is a serious contribution. When used effectively, it combines the strengths of academic research with the simplicity of visual presentation. At VJ Research Hub, we are committed to providing the tools and infrastructure for researchers to share their findings in the format that suits their content best. Whether through a full-length paper, a video demonstration, or a structured presentation, our goal remains the same: to support thoughtful, accessible, and high-quality research communication.
