Author Guidelines

The Journal of Fundamental and Applied Physics invites authors to submit original, high-quality manuscripts that align with the journal’s comprehensive coverage of physical sciences. To ensure clarity, consistency, and scholarly rigor, contributors are expected to adhere to the following submission guidelines. Manuscripts not meeting these standards may be returned for revision before peer review.

General Requirements

All manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English. Authors are responsible for ensuring the language quality prior to submission. Submissions should be original and must not be under consideration elsewhere. The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical research practices.

Manuscript Types Accepted

• Original Research Articles
• Review Articles
• Short Communications
• Technical Notes or Instrumentation Papers
• Theoretical and Simulation Studies
• Commentaries or Editorials (by invitation)

Manuscript Formatting

All manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format. Use a standard font (e.g., Times New Roman, 12-point), with double spacing and continuous page numbers. Maintain 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides. Headings should be used to organize the content clearly and logically.

Title Page

• Manuscript title (concise and descriptive)
• Full names of all authors with institutional affiliations
• Corresponding author’s name, email address, and contact number
• ORCID iDs (if available)
• A short running title (maximum 50 characters)

Abstract and Keywords

• Abstract: A brief summary (200–300 words) highlighting the objective, methodology, results, and conclusion of the study
• Keywords: Include 4 to 6 relevant keywords immediately after the abstract

Main Text Structure

Original Research Articles are expected to follow the standard IMRaD format:

• Introduction: Present the background, research question, and objective
• Materials and Methods: Provide adequate detail to ensure reproducibility; mention any software, instrumentation, or theoretical models used
• Results: Clearly present findings using figures or tables as needed
• Discussion: Interpret the results, compare with existing literature, and identify implications
• Conclusion: Summarize key outcomes and suggest future directions

Review Articles should synthesize existing literature, identify research gaps, and provide a critical evaluation of recent developments in specific areas of fundamental or applied physics.

Technical Notes should focus on the development, calibration, or implementation of experimental methods, devices, or measurement systems.

Figures and Tables

• Number all figures and tables sequentially
• Provide clear, self-explanatory captions
• Figures must be high-resolution (minimum 300 dpi)
• Do not duplicate information across both tables and figures

References

Use APA style for citations and references. In-text citations should follow the author–date format. Ensure all sources cited in the text are included in the reference list, and vice versa. Authors are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all citations.

Ethical Considerations

Any study involving simulations, mathematical modeling, or physical experiments must follow accepted ethical guidelines. Authors must include details of safety protocols or institutional approvals when applicable. Submissions that involve human or animal subjects should comply with established ethical review requirements.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must declare any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the manuscript. If no conflicts exist, this should be explicitly stated in the manuscript.

Funding Statement

Clearly mention any funding sources, grant numbers, or institutional support associated with the research.

Acknowledgments

Acknowledgments should mention individuals, laboratories, or institutions that contributed to the work but do not meet the criteria for authorship.

Authorship Criteria

All listed authors must have contributed significantly to the conception, execution, or interpretation of the study. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors approve the final version of the manuscript.

Submission Process

Authors may submit manuscripts through the official journal submission portal or designated email address. Submissions must include the main manuscript, title page, figures, tables, and any supplementary material.

Peer Review

All manuscripts undergo editorial screening followed by double-blind peer review. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback. The journal values constructive peer assessment to uphold the quality and integrity of its publications.

Copyright and Licensing

This is an open-access journal. Authors retain full copyright and grant the journal the right to publish under a Creative Commons license. All accepted articles are made freely available online to maximize visibility and readership.

Proofs and Corrections

Proofs will be sent to the corresponding author prior to publication. Authors must review and return the corrected proofs promptly. Only minor revisions will be permitted at this stage.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

The journal does not charge any fees at the time of submission. An Article Processing Charge (APC) applies only after a manuscript has been formally accepted. This charge supports peer review coordination, typesetting, DOI assignment, indexing, and long-term archiving. Authors will be notified of the applicable fee upon acceptance.
