The Journal of Infectious Diseases, Microbiology and Pathogen Science invites authors to submit original, high-quality manuscripts that fall within the journal’s multidisciplinary scope. To maintain consistency and uphold scientific rigor, contributors are expected to adhere to the following guidelines when preparing their manuscripts. Submissions that do not comply with these instructions may be returned for revision prior to peer review.
General Requirements
All manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English. Authors are responsible for ensuring language quality prior to submission. Submissions should be original, unpublished work and must not be under consideration elsewhere. Any form of plagiarism or data manipulation will result in immediate rejection.

Manuscript Formatting
Authors should submit their manuscript in MS Word format, using a standard font such as Times New Roman, 12-point size, with double spacing and continuous page numbering. Margins should be 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides. Use a clear structure with appropriate headings and subheadings.
Title Page
• Title of the manuscript (concise and informative)
• Full names of all authors, with affiliations
• Corresponding author’s name, email address, and phone number
• ORCID iDs (if available)
• A short running title (not exceeding 50 characters)
Abstract and Keywords
• Abstract: 200 to 300 words summarizing the background, methods, results, and conclusions. Structured abstracts are preferred where applicable.
• Keywords: 4 to 6 relevant keywords listed after the abstract.
Main Text Structure
Original Research Articles should follow the IMRaD format:
• Introduction: Clearly state the background, significance, and objective of the study.
• Materials and Methods: Provide sufficient detail to allow reproducibility, including ethical approval where applicable.
• Results: Present findings clearly, supported by tables and figures as needed.
• Discussion: Interpret the results in context, compare with existing literature, and highlight implications.
• Conclusion: Summarize key findings and potential applications.
Review Articles should present a focused synthesis of existing knowledge, recent developments, and future research directions. Systematic reviews must adhere to PRISMA guidelines.
Case Reports must include clinical relevance, diagnostic importance, and any unique insights into infectious disease processes, microbiological findings, or pathogen behavior.
Tables and Figures
• Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and cited in the main text.
• Each must include a descriptive title or legend.
• Figures should be submitted in high-resolution format (minimum 300 dpi).
• Avoid repeating the same data in both tables and figures.
References
References should be formatted according to APA style. In-text citations must correspond to complete entries in the reference list. Use the author–date format within the manuscript body. Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all references.
Ethical Considerations
All research involving human subjects or animals must include a statement of ethical approval from a recognized institutional review board or ethics committee. Informed consent is required for studies involving human participants or identifiable data. Case reports must include documentation of patient consent where applicable.
Conflict of Interest
All authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the research. A conflict of interest statement must be included in the manuscript, even if no conflicts exist.
Funding Statement
Authors must clearly indicate any sources of funding or financial support for the research, including grant numbers if applicable.
Acknowledgments
Acknowledgments may include individuals, institutions, or funding bodies that contributed to the study but do not meet authorship criteria.
Authorship Criteria
All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the conception, design, data collection, analysis, or interpretation of the work. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript.

An Article Processing Charge is applied only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication. This fee supports editorial management, peer review coordination, typesetting, DOI assignment, online hosting, and long-term digital preservation. No fees are charged at the submission stage.
