Journal of Agri-Earth & Environmental Research

The Journal of Agri‑Earth & Environmental Research is dedicated to advancing integrated scholarship across the broad domains of agricultural sciences, earth system sciences, and environmental studies. In a world where ecosystems, food systems, and climate systems are increasingly interlinked, this journal serves as a platform for studies that transcend disciplinary boundaries and offer applied, analytical, and theoretical contributions. The journal encourages submissions from researchers working at the intersection of natural and managed environments, bringing together work on soil, water, crops, climate, and the policies and technologies that govern their use.

We recognize that agricultural research today involves more than improving yields or pest control. It involves a deep understanding of ecological health, resource sustainability, climate adaptation, land management, and the socio-economic frameworks that shape rural and urban landscapes. Similarly, earth sciences have expanded from pure geophysical inquiry into active engagement with land use, natural disasters, environmental degradation, and mitigation efforts. The Journal of Agri‑Earth & Environmental Research invites contributions that link these dimensions, offering insights into the challenges and possibilities of working with nature rather than against it.

The journal accepts original research articles, comprehensive reviews, field reports, methodological papers, and case studies. Priority is given to submissions that demonstrate scientific rigor while remaining grounded in real-world application. We are particularly interested in studies that incorporate local knowledge, participatory research models, or cross-regional comparisons. Papers that examine policy, governance, and community-level engagement are welcome, especially where they connect scientific understanding with sustainable practice.

Fields of Interest

Our scope covers a wide range of topics in agriculture, environmental science, and earth systems. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Sustainable agriculture and agroecology
  • Crop science, plant physiology, and genetic improvement
  • Precision agriculture and smart farming technologies
  • Soil science, land degradation, and remediation
  • Water resource management and irrigation systems
  • Environmental monitoring and remote sensing
  • Climate change impacts on agriculture and ecosystems
  • Biodiversity, conservation, and ecosystem services
  • Natural hazards and disaster risk reduction
  • Land use change and geographic information systems (GIS)
  • Organic farming, permaculture, and low-input agriculture
  • Food security, agricultural economics, and rural development
  • Carbon sequestration, greenhouse gas emissions, and mitigation strategies
  • Geomorphology, hydrology, and sediment transport
  • Earth surface processes and human-environment interactions

We also invite interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research that combines scientific, technical, and social dimensions. Submissions that integrate data from diverse sources—such as satellite imagery, field observation, lab analysis, and socio-economic surveys—are especially encouraged.

A Global and Inclusive Platform

The Journal of Agri‑Earth & Environmental Research serves a global readership. We welcome contributions from all geographic regions, including research from the Global South, which is often underrepresented in mainstream literature. Papers based on regional or local studies are encouraged, provided that they offer transferable insights or methodological innovation. We aim to provide a fair and accessible platform for researchers regardless of institutional affiliation or funding support.

In our editorial philosophy, we place high value on clarity, transparency, and context. Authors are expected to present their findings in a way that is informative not only to specialists, but also to readers from adjacent disciplines. Each submission is evaluated not only on scientific merit, but also on its potential to contribute to broader understanding and responsible application.

Journal Format and Access

The journal is published online and follows an open-access model. All articles are freely available to read and download without any subscription or paywall. Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal a license to publish under a Creative Commons framework. Each article is assigned a DOI and is permanently archived for citation and reference.

We operate a continuous publication model, which means accepted articles are published as soon as they are ready, ensuring timely dissemination of research. Manuscripts undergo a thorough peer review process, managed by a team of subject specialists and editorial advisors who bring both disciplinary depth and regional insight.

Submissions may include supplementary materials such as data sets, high-resolution imagery, video abstracts, or graphical summaries. The journal also encourages innovative article formats, including field reports or policy briefs that present field-based insight or early findings in a concise form.

Supporting Research Across Disciplines

We understand that environmental and agricultural issues often intersect with policy, economics, health, and education. As such, the journal remains open to papers that touch upon development studies, indigenous knowledge systems, technology transfer, environmental ethics, and community engagement. This inclusive scope reflects our belief that meaningful solutions emerge not from siloed research, but from collaborative and integrated approaches.

The Journal of Agri‑Earth & Environmental Research is committed to fostering dialogue across academic, professional, and local communities. Our editorial team supports authors throughout the submission and publication process, providing feedback, guidance, and a respectful review experience. We welcome early-career researchers as well as established scholars and encourage multi-authored and institutional collaborative works.

In a time of environmental uncertainty and agricultural transition, there is a growing need for research that informs both understanding and action. This journal aims to be a conduit for such work, bringing rigorous, grounded, and forward-thinking scholarship to the forefront of global academic exchange.

We invite you to share your work with a community committed to advancing research that matters. Whether your focus lies in field-based studies, theoretical models, applied innovations, or policy-relevant analysis, we welcome your submission. Join us in building a platform that supports integrated scholarship for a more sustainable and informed future.
